Local Businesses, Films and TV

Every Wednesday in Oct. 11 - Nov. 8

To celebrate Portland’s production and media industry and to support local businesses and boost engagement within the Central City, Portland Events and Film Office is excited to activate downtown Portland vacant storefronts with a series of movies and TV shows filmed and/or produced here in Portland.

During Every Wednesday’s lunch hour in October, downtown street windows will come alive with screenings of film and TV content amongst displays inspired by productions such as LAIKA’s The Story So Far, James Beard Award-winning All the Homies Network, and NBC Universal’s Grimm.

The windows will highlight content and visuals exclusive to Portland local businesses and filming locations featured in the films and TV shows. The activations will elevate Portland’s love, fandom and connection to locally produced TV and film with giveaways, inspired activities and an exclusive viewing.

All The Homies Network

All the Homies Network was created by Mike Truong in collaboration with friends who share his love of creativity and community. The organization focuses on creating digital content that is genuine, authentic and relatable.

ATHN consists of Portland-area businesses including Portland Ca Phe, Hey Day, Matta, Baon Kainan, Salvie Donuts and Deadstock Coffee. The mission of the network is simple. Have fun while being yourself.

Check out all the restaurants around town and enjoy some tasty treats from some of the featured businesses during Every Wednesday Film and TV Activations.

  • Deadstock was born from the idea that the sneakerhead and coffee snob are alike in their love for the finer things in life. Founder and owner Ian Williams saw a need for a space where his communities could gather and truly just kick it. After starting as a humble coffee cart in 2016, Deadstock has been proudly serving Portland, Oregon’s Chinatown community (and beyond) ever since. Whether on your way to a date, a job interview, or a trip to the mountains, Deadstock is dedicated to giving you the hype you need to get there.

    HELLO–WE’RE ETHAN AND GERI

Our goal is to share our perspective on Filipino food through the lens of Filipino-Americans. Growing up predominantly in the U.S. and having a Filipino heritage makes our story unique but common to what second and third generation Filipinos have experienced. We learned a lot about our heritage through our moms who cooked traditional Filipino food like adobo, kare kare and sinigang. We’re inspired by the food we grew up with: American food from being brought up in the States or foods from countries our Military family took us, and of course the foods our mothers cooked us to remind them of home. We’re excited to share our full story through food with you all and also learn more about our culture in the process! Description text goes here
