Nuestro Camino, Aqui Seguimos Nuestro Camino is a Portland-based, Latinx artist exhibition dedicated to showcasing the variety of talented artists our community has to offer. With that said, last year’s theme, chosen by Dulce was Nuestros Antepasados. It was a call for the artists to reflect on those who came before us, and did what they needed to better our circumstances in today’s world. Building off the themes from the past two years, this year’s exhibition named "Aqui Seguimos,” will be a show dedicated to the resilience of queer people in the Latinx community. We have focused on showcasing queer artists, performers, and creatives this year to truly emphasize how this resilience is all the more present when breaking down barriers presented by the world outside of the direct Latinx community, as well as breaking the cycles and stigmas that have been present within that same community.

We started the day with a Drag Bruch catered by the Waffle Window and featuring the talent of Nashville Hott and her trusty sidekick, Syda Pickles. This was a sold-out event, so we are doubling occupancy this year and expect to post ticket availability much earlier. The remainder of the events throughout the afternoon will be free and open to the public. They will include two bands playing in our front room that spills out onto the street, with a garage door access. We are hiring an ice cream truck and a taco truck, a photo booth, and face painters. We will also have Happy Fang Tattoos doing flash tattoos, flower crown-making workshops going throughout the day as well as a curated group of artisans selling their summer solstice-themed wares.
